Oh man...last night was fucking unbelievable. We're talking life-changing shit here, kids.

Ok, so I never fully ellaborated on what it was that was amazing last night. Well, in short, I got to converse with my one and only idol. No, he's not some guru that I hold in a deity-like status, but rather a man whose vast knowledge of art and his ability to compile various mediums, sprinkling homages to each of them in his work, has been truly inspirational to me. You may or may not've seem this man's videos before. If you have a TV, you've most likely come across it at some time or another. Anyways, his name's Mark Romanek. At a screening of his film One Hour Photo this last monday, I approached him, introduced myself, reminded him how he responded to a letter I'd written to him my sophomore year of high school, and how that singular act of kindess had a giant effect on my "keeping abreast" of the art world.
