So... Amsterdam was a bust. We got stuck in traffic for 3 extra hours on the way there and had to pay 287 Euro ($427) for a room for 2 nights with 3 small beds and no room what so ever. The bathroom was disgusting and the people working there didn't know shit about the companies they recommended. The town itself was amazing and different from anything I'd ever seen before. What sucked mostly about the trip was paying for 2 nights in a hotel and making the shitty drive there and about 3 hours after getting there receiving the dreaded phone call that we had to be back on base by 1030 AM the next day so we can fly out to Afghanistan. Well we made the best of our night and tried to get our vehicle from a garage that we parked it at but the garage closed at 9 and we couldn't get our car until 730AM well that was a kick in the dick since that was way too late to be leaving town. There was nothing we could do but walk around the red light district seeing all the people and girls in the windows. It amazes me how some of these girls are so damn good looking that if they were in the states or anywhere else for that matter you wouldn't picture them as prostitutes. You'd dream they were so that you could get a chance with them but never in a million years would you expect it. Our Lieutenant decided he was in need of getting laid and paid the 50 euro to get laid and another 20 just to see her tits. He wasn't very happy about it since these girls are all business and not really into making your dreams come true. While he did his thing,my other loadmaster and I went to a bar where he got some drinks and I had a sprite. . .cause I'm apparently 6 years old still. After all that was said and done the LT went back to his room while me and the other load stayed out and got some food. We were all really bummed that all we got to do was walk the red light oh and we did go to the sex museum. Fucking weird! We didn't even find a midget!! I was really bummed, but we did find a cat in a porn store laying on a box of edible underwear. It was a really nice cat too. The worst part is that since we rushed back and even somehow got here almost on time we didn't even fucking leave today! We got reset for 24 hours and might leave tomorrow. Fucking weak! well I'm done. I want to go back to Amsterdam and see the museums sometime but I don't know when I'll get another opportunity to do that. FML pictures of the few things I saw up soon.
