I think Semitic wins the prize. I'm fully convinced that we'll have chip implants in our lifetime. After our mobile phones and our iPods and PDA's etc, all merge into a Dick Tracy-esque wristwatch, the next step is to just hook straight into the CNS, and have a wireless connection to your bigger machine at home.

Everyone's asking about my new profile pic and what they hell I did to myself. I've decided to have a contest:
Submit your version of the story. Doesn't have to be truthful or even believable, just entertaining. Best story will win a prize, not sure what yet. Maybe I'll buy your...

yeah i wont tattoo dumb shit.. nothing racist, and nothing super drug related.. Because i dont want it getting back to me. Tattooists already have a rap of being druggies.. like if you tattoo people assume you're a pothead drunk.. so i like to stay away from drug shit so people wont throw me into classification and then more "respectable" people with a more $$$ will come in and get tattooed hah!
My weekend:
I finally started training. I was getting fat by the minute, and I just couldn't take it anymore. 3 weeks off the bike, and I gained like a pound a week. Of course, it's still like 10 degrees out, so I put the bike on the indoor trainer and got to it.

yup, shinny happy people get beat up real easy,
but what really stuck with me about that one, was the different ways we perceive our world. Any NONE of them actually are the real world. They are all different aspects of our selves that we project around us. Its very much like matthew scully talks about in 'dominion' in which most of our ideas about animals have to do with our own devices and desiers, always failing to view the animal in it's own context.

Have you noticed there are a lot of guns on this site?
It's kind of weird, I think, and unsettling. But I'm always immediately turned off and uninterested if there's someone in the shoot holding a gun.
I don't know why it's any different than the fantasy of a James Bond movie or Tank Girl or something, but maybe it's because I consider the people...

So, I was asked, and was wondering myself:
If I post in someone's journal, and they reply in my journal, do I reply in their journal again?
If someone replies in my journal, and I want to respond, do I respond in my journal or theirs?
Very serious questions, for very serious times.

hahaha.. I guess it depends on what you want to do.. I always reply in other people's journals.. because they are sure to read thier own comments.. and less likely to come bak and search for a reply in my journal.. ya know? Plus sometimes people cant get online for a couple of days and will never find the comments...

Ha.. when I say cultural diversity.. I mean.. people of other cultures.. nevermind people of all sorts of cultures enjoying each other's cultures openly! haha.. I mean, I havent seen an african american in.. oh.. at least 2 weeks.. and I work with the public you know? There was one african american, and two boys whos grandparents were from china in our whole school and I think that there were like 5 exchange students .. a couple from germany, and a couple from japan. And this isnt the tiniest school either.. im talking.. eh, almost 3000 people i think? maybe 2 1/2? I dunno.. But theres ONLY white people here and its wierd.. no other place in the country is so alienated like this...

Oi bueno!
I can't sleep.
I stopped drinking coffee, and now all it takes is even just a little chocolate and I'm wired. Momma's gone sleepy, and so it's just me, Birdie, and the World Wide Web.
We turn the heat way down at night, and I'm freezing my ass, off, too.
The thing that sucks is that of course I'll sleep late to make up for...

ps. she got her white jellies at clairs.. its a teeny bopper type store in most malls.. they have a sister store called Icing. They're pretty lame but occasionally you can find something decent there...
Mmmm. The missus made vegan pot pie yesterday. Perfect for the 33 and raining weather we've got! The weather itself, however, is not ideal for the first "official" day of training for the 2004 cycling season.
Alas, the indoor trainer!
How I loathe thee!

Yeah, I saw that in one of your posts. I'm in Davis. I went to UMass and stayed out there, lived in Northampton for about the past 12 years or so, and my wife went to Smith. She got a job in Boston, but we still wanted to live in a Northampton-esque place, and not so far out of the city as say, Arlington. Little square, good coffee, easy for me to get out of town on my bike.
