Yeah, so...
I was in Tucson from New Year's until mid-March, riding my ass off all day. We were doing 25-30 hour training weeks most of the time. Then I went to Southern California for 2 stage races the last two weeks of March. Then back to Tucson for a few more days to close up the house and say goodbye to Fawn, and fly back to Boston.
I've been home now for 6 days, and I'm leaving tomorrow again for a month. I got to see Bailey for the first time in almost 2 months, which was awesome. (The seeing her, I mean, not the 2 months.) Now I'm off to Richmond, Virginia, Jacksonville, Florida, Athens, GA, and then 9 southeast cities in 10 days from Alabama to South Carolina. And then, finally, in early May, I get to come home for an extended period.
I've said it before, but being a bike racer is like being in a band, with different hours.
