I found it!
I saw that film 'The Killing Fields' when I was about 11 or 12, and it's filled my nightmares since then, to the point that I doubted that it was actually a real film, and honestly believed I'd just dreamt the whole thing.
Not so - I have the aged and beautiful VHS tape in my home right now, just waiting to be watched; to be given the opportunity to unlock memories I probably should just leave alone. Hmmm.
On the other hand, I think I really do want to know. There are, in truth, so many damn things that I *want* to know, but should probably just leave alone... if I've learnt anything this year, it's that it's just as easy to suffer from having no information as it is to suffer from its abundance.
So we're doomed to be sad? Nah - think of the many varieties of cakes and bikkies in the world! I feel better already.
