Actually, there's quite a funny story attached to this. 'Paz' shares her name with a guy at my school who had a deformed hand. He was also called 'Paz' (astonishing!). He tried, as part of a group, to steal computers from the attached K-6 school, but got caught in the act and had to do groundswork for the next six months or something. In retrospect, he was a bit of a dick.
Even better, he once famously remarked that people shouldn't pick on me because one day I'd grow up tall and stuff.. Well? I showed them all! HAAAHHAHAHAHA!! (didn't even need a gun. Yowzah!)
My Paz did used to tell people his hand was deformed because he'd been mauled by a bear. I guess the trauma of the mauling had turned him into some sort of pathological stater-of-the-obvious. Haaa - dangling modifier humour. Ben: 1, God: 0
