I'm off out to see Lene Lovich tonight which should be... interesting at least.
Whenever I've mentioned her name to anyone younger than myself they've looked mystified which is fair enough. It's not like I have a huge knowlegde of her back catalogue either. I know what her Lucky Number is but after that I'm struggling to draw much from the memory bank.
But Stiff Records were such an eclectic label with such a wilful bunch of artists that I can't help thinking that anyone who was recording for them must have had something going on. (Well, apart from Tracey Ullman)
