YO!!
I'm back!
So Berlin was what I expected it to be. I knew I was going to like it (and my friend also did) and we arrived with good feelings about the city, and bad fears about the weather.
Luckily, the weather is quite dry, so the cold is much more bearable than here. It even snowed (oh well... snow) and it wasn't that freezing. Of course it's only the start of winter there, but you know.. for us who are almost tropical weather's, whatever.
Enough of the weather.
We were staying at a cybernetic hostel. The room was quite small (but who cares?) and the bathroom seemed like a caravana one (which was great for hot showers). Evereything was built in metal and painted in neon.
Since me and my friend are something related to "coolhunters" we totally forgot about tourism (or, at least, that's what we pretended to do) and started searching for the heart of the city itself.
Walking in no concrete direction we found a small street (I guess that might be the only small street in Berlin). It was dark. So we went inside.
Millions of grafitti, painted papers, miss van, colours, sentences of "I was here" and stuff like that appeared.
Millions of metallic pieces formed a huge frog with blue eyes that moved when inserting a coin. Which was hilarious.
There also were some stairs that seemed to bring to nowhere. But it wasn't nowhere but a art library and a whole room full of almost nothing. Nothing but some drawings and comics from a guy who made them.
If I keep the story this long you will never end up reading.
So yeah. We had some beers at a bar close to that wings-frog and went to the hostal to have more drinks. Then we went to sleep. The day after we meet Temper in Kreuzberg, which seems to be one of the best places we've been in Berlin
She came with his new lil son, whose name is sofuckinglargeIcan'tevenrememberaword. But incredibly cute. After coffee, she showed us cool shops to buy stuff (for my friend) and to show my new collection.
Then we got the ubahn (subway). First time we didn't do it ilegally. And that's where this pic was taken, cause I didn't have pics with her, and it's the third time I see her in a month!
We were supposed to go to her bar later, at night. So we got lost in oranienburguer and had supper at 6 pm. (which is REALLY early for Spain). We started with two beers. Then we got a little bottle of vodka and orange, mixed it and by 7 in the afternoon we were drunk.
Since it was still early, we decided to go drunkyard-shopping. There are millions of videos of that, I'll try to make a video soon of that, cause it's great.
The vodka-orange was great, so we decided to get 2 bottles more. So at 8 in the afternoon we were REALLY drunk.
I would love to explain more about that night, but we have a mental loss / white mental of 6 hours. But somehow we found the place with the frog again, went into the bar, and asked for 2 cosmopolitans. And 2 more. Somehow we went back to the hostel. Somehow
The next day we went to the fleas market, and came back because it was gone. So it was freezing and we walked a bit. When we were totally frozen we decided to go to Helmut Newton's museum/exhibition.
THAT was awesome. I've always been a big fan of him, and I adore his voyeuristic way of capturing women's bodies.
That night we went to a nice restaurant in oranienburguer. That seems to be more like a bit poshy-sculpture-artistic-chic place in Berlin. I might be wrong. It was exquisite.
And last day was more like "last morning". The plane was leaving soon, so we only had time for a breakfast.
I must admit that the breakfast we had with the lovely Isi was AMAZING, but way too big for me and my hangover. Thanks dear for bringing us to that place. It's been a pleasure to meet you!!
SOOOO, that's all folks!!
Now press
MUAH!!
