I tell myself things like "don't worry," right?

Then my mom arrives, she's never been to KS before, just broke up with her girlfriend of fifteen years, and came for my graduation.

What happens?

I smoke cigarrettes like mad, we eat great meals, we go downtown in Lawrence, where we buy hella food AFTER she got me groceries and we talk and learn to juggle into the late late night.

Today we were going to take it easy, but we ended up blowing about $100 at the gardening store, getting this garden we have into order.

I"VE GOT IRISH MOSS! eeek
biggrin You've got to understand that I've wanted to have a little pathway of it since I was a kid. I just thought that it was a pipedream, and NOW, as I type, even!, I've got a little bed off of my porch, that I can put my hobbit-esque bare feet on!

God that's cool.

I've worked hard all day, really all of the later part of my undergraduate career, and it pays off in moments like these ones. Tomorrow's the party, anyone who wants should try starting a knife-fight at my party, just read the earlier journals for the time and address, etc.

Anyhow, autnonmy issues are coming up for me, and I feel like I'm attached to my mom and Courtney by an invisible chain, but I'll deal, and tomorrow will be awesome.

I wish you all well and goodnight,

Ian bok

Heh. Hobbit feet.

I remember my graduation party was somewhat underwhelming. Maybe the next will be better. Hope yours is a blast.

Wow! You know, that umbilical cord never quite goes away. I'm going on 44, my mom's 78, and that invisible chain is still there. It's certainly less binding than it was when I was your age, but it's still there.

And yeah, Irish moss is waaayy cool. biggrin
