Alphabet Blog Challenge--the letter B
Babe
I was in a long term relationship with a guy who called me Babe. He said it exactly the way you are picturing it. Like a burnt out surfer. The first few months he did it, it was cute. But after a while I was like, Fuck you, I have a name! I also came to realize that he only called me by my name when he was pissed at me. Where as I, no matter what the context, called him by his name. I just changed the way I pronounced it if I was pissed.

My producer friend had a party at his loft downtown and I got to perform with my dude and take pictures with random people

I tend to not use peoples names. I have things that I call them specifically but it is almost never their name. It may be a section of their name or one letter but definitely not the whole thing.
