Okay, so today in my Intro to Historical Studies class I had to deal with this statement from a member of the class. Keep in mind that this class is History 3000, an upper level, history major class.

"The Japanese were a barbaric and warlike society for millenia until after we defeated them in WWII."

Great zombie Jesus; how could someone in a history major class be so ridiculously fucking wrong? I mean, one thousand years of isolationism followed by fifty years of imperialist expansionism after the fall of the shogunate TOTALLY qualifies as a barbaric and warlike society. Fucking retard.

Anyway, after dealing with such bullshit I was in dire need of a drink, so I headed to Sidebar to meet up with two guys from my Politics of Feminism class. We talked about class, realism, former drug use, and how led Zeppelin was, at one point, the greatest electric blues band ever assembled.

The roommates and I were supposed to go see The Californias play tonight at the lameass hard Rock, but they didn't go on until 12 and we needed to take MARTA home. Instead we went and saw that Limony Snicket movie, which was pretty cool. Of course, already being drunk, we snuck booze into the theatre. The best part was when I went to set my beer down in the cupholder. You know how cupholders in theatres have that big hole in the middle? Lets just say that it is larger than the diameter of a Sweetwater Blue bottle. KLANG. SPLASH. Awesome.
