Yesterday was MLK day and, as such, I had the day off: no school, no work, no anything to do. I made a short attempt at doing something worthwhile with my day off (which was finishing the design of and getting my new tattoo) but I was sabotoged a little too soon after I woke up to resist. About five minutes after I finally rolled out of bed, my friend Justin showed up and invited us to do the intimidating Tolkien Twelve: watching all three expanded editions of LOTR back to back to back. After a few minutes of struggle I surrendered and gave up on my hopes of getting anything accomplished at all on my day off.

And let me tell you, we were fucking prepared. First stop was Churches Chicken, where we got 30 pieces of chicken and assorted sides. The next stop was the liquor store, where we bought a bunch of malt liquor. (Note: fried chicken and malt liquor is the traditional MLK day feast of my crew. If you don't get the joke, then you live in a perfect society free of ridiculous stereotyping and bigotry. Or you're just an idiot.) After getting back to Justin's place with a ridiculous amount of chicken and beer, and after making a call to have the other substance necessary for sitting ont he couch for twelve hours delivered, we cheeringly put int he first disk.

At the end of the three I was completely fried; the only thing I can relate it to would be my high school weekends. The Tolkein twelve is a LOT tougher than you would think, but I finished it. I rule.

ummm... I'm probably not doing anything this weekend. If you still have my jacket, it would be much appreciated. I'm not too sure about the chinese new year party right now. I have a lot of school word to catch up on already.
