Well, I finally got around to seeing Farenheit 911 yesterday. And no, I don't know how to spell that word, so if it's wrong then chaulk it up to my usual laziness. Anyway, it wasn't anything earth shattering to me, but that's because I follow stuff like that so I already knew it all. It basically just succeeded in compressing many, many things that have pissed me off in the last four years into a convenient two hour package. In other words, it succeeded in pissing me off so bad that I was in a bad mood for the rest of the day. Yeah, I have a problem with my temper. Eh. But what I did like about the film were overtones of class struggle; it was kind of a different perspective than is usually seen on the issue. Most people probably missed that part of the film. Then again, most people who bash on Michael Moore haven't seen most of his films so they don't really have any idea what his over-arching theme is. Or what an over-arching theme is, period.

Anyway, enough of that. I thought it was pretty cool that the Red Sox were able to pull that bullshit off yesterday. What can I say; as a Braves fan, I love to see New York lose. The number of Boston hats that seemed to spring up out of nowhere around campus today was pretty hilarious, though. The girl and I allotted some time in our usual people critiquing routine to mock fair weather fans today: she's a fanatical Red Sox fan, and I remember when Georgia wasn't a cool team to support back in the Goff/Donnan years. Also, we severely mocked a girl wearing those stupid fuzzy snow boots. In Atlanta. In October. Oh, it's about 60-70 degrees outside around here this time of year for those of you not familiar with the temperate climate.

By the way, anyone who mocks people for liking organized sports is a douchebag. Especially those who think they are too hip or counter culture to like such things.

Oh, and for the last two days there has been a 2005 Jeep covered in mud parked on Broad Street. Fake mud. Yes, Fake mud! Why, you may ask? Well, so college students and business people can pose with it as a promotion for Jeep, of course! How rugged they look with a mud covered Jeep in the middle of Atlanta.
unnecessaryz:
I know exactly what you mean. I think fight bluffing has a lot to do with getting older. I didn't have that problem when I was younger, if a problem is what you'd call it. If people showed interest in fighting, there was going to be a damn fight! Now, and especially in NYC for some reason, it's nearly impossible to cross that final threshold. It's pretty ironic though because people seem to be getting more and more mouthy as the years go on. If you don't want me to hit you, don't call me a pussy. I may be old fashioned, but back that shit up if you're going to say it.

Also, I would have so much fun with the fake mud jeep. I would show up to pose with it everyday and bring dumber shit than the day before. Like a surfboard one day and maybe a hanglider the next.

woah strange- that movie had the same effect on me, i thought it was bland because id already read about it all- so nothing shocked me. but afterwards i kept trying to get in fights with people, and everything was annoying to me, even eating ice cream was annoying.
