I'm listening to Cream's "Disraeli Gears." It's got me wondering, yet again, how someone could go from being such a badass to being such a lameass in the span of a few short years. Clapton should have never released a single record after he finished with Blind Faith. The best example of this is just how lame the version of "Layla" on his MTV Unplugged record is, especially when compared to the unstoppable raddness of the original Derek And The Dominoes version.

The Derek and the Dominoes version is so good that if it's on the radio when I'm driving somewhere, and I arrive before it finishes, I wait in my car until it's over, even if I'm late.
