Last night Flux and I drove down to wonderful Macon Georgia to see my friends in The Oval Portrait. This is the band that stayed at my house and played Halo with us all night a few months ago. They are super cool kids. We had a good time.
Now that I'm feeling a bit less lazy, I'll add a bit more. Just to warn you, if you see The Oval Portrait and Vince is drunk then he will lick your face. Repeatedly. It's HOT. And one of the other bands that played was a Macon band called Capitol. They were all about 17. Durning one of their songs, the guitar player just starts shredding. I was hanging with one of the guitarists from Oval Portrait at the time. Suffice it to say that our reactions were along the lines of "Damn, I can't even play like that now, and I'm 20/22 (respectively)." And I ended up spending all of my money on those O.P. bastards; they were going to jsut give us some shirts and stuff, but very few people were at the show so I felt bad not paying for stuff. But the twenty bucks that Flux and I gave them will allow them to spread the rock a little farther through the country without starving to death, so it's okay with me.
And, as I unfortunately discovered today, last night was the last time I'll get to see Flux for a while because she is headed to L.A. Ah well, at least we went out rockin'!
