The other day I went to hang out with my parents and do my taxes.

Turns out my sister is super behind in her AP art class, and her prtfolio is due in two weeks. She's pretty much in the same boat I was in when I took that class in high school. So I say, "I was in the same situation, and i did it; I'm sure she can too."

So my Dad says, "Yeah, but you have this uncanny ability to pull your ass out of the fire when you are in trouble. She doesn't. Neither do I; if it had been me in that courtroom the other day instead of you, I'd STILL be sitting in that hillbilly jail."

I realized that that statement pretty much sums up my life. I have terrible luck, and get caught at nearly everthing I do, and fuck up all the time, but I always manage to get out of shit without major consequences.

What brought this post on was the fact that, in the last two days, I have successfully turned in a major project and a paper late, and stil had the teacher not only not give me a zero, but not even take off any points.

I am one slick SOB.
