So i'm pretty sure that today was the luckiest day of my life.
Last night I drove to Athens so I could get up early and go to a court date in Watkinsville this morning. I stayed with my old roommate. I was headed to court for a speeding ticket, and I was sure i was going to have my license suspended. On top of that, I had a test today at 1:30, so I was trying to figure out how I would get back to Atlanta by 1:30 for the test without my license.
So at about 6:30 this morning, the old roommate wakes me up. "We don't have school today," she says, "and neither do ya'll." It turns out it snowed last night and the streets froze. So i didn't have to worry about making it back for the test! Then, I got my court date posponed (frankly, because I wanted to sleep longer) because I was "iced in" at my friend's apartment.
Seriously, usually everything in my life that can go wrong does (as shown by the whole test/court on the same day thing). I honestly believe this to be the luckiest day of my life.
So, in honor of the snow day, Knifefight, MCnaptime and I got drunk and stoned and watched TV all night. I was quite happy pointing out the gross historical inaccuracies in Ben Hur, but they insisted on watching that extreme challenge show. But then we finally settled on some movie which invloves Patrick Swayze, the desert, water, and him defending the desert people from an evil aristocrat.
I call it Roadhouse 3000: Arrakis.
And on that note, I am going to lay in bed and listen to some Creedence.
