How was your weekend? Do anything interesting?
Well I was a fanboy Saturday and stood on line for 5hrs to meet Kevin Smith at his store down in Red Bank NJ. Lines are an interesting phenomena...You talk to people you normally wouldn't talk to. I laughed. I read. I listened to tales of driving from 6am to get there...
Now considering it was only 5 and a half hours...that's not too too bad... They know me in the stash practically since I'm there all the time. I ran in and got his new Book. My Boring Ass Life which is pretty much his blog from the Myspace pages and ViewAskew.
Unfortunately, he didn't recognize me. I didnt read what he wrote in my book until yesterday...Apparently I'm a Pimp...That made me laugh. The Book isn't bad actually. Just insight into his day. That's why I think he's a great filmmaker...He keeps in touch with his fans. I appreciate that alot. I also picked up another copy for someone else. What he wrote in there is funny too.
Classes are in full swing. For the Heroe(oines)s Class, We've watched Star Wars(i've been very vocal over it). Parts of Firefly, X-Men, and a New World. We also have to take pictures and keep a journal. Also have to read Joseph Campbell's Book: Hero of a Thousand Faces. I haven't submitted anything for my writing class yet. But I think i'm coming out of my writing funk. I wrote 2 sentences last night. WOOHOO!!!! and I know who I wanna thank over that!!!! That's what I want to do. I want to write and do films. I mean sure I always wanted to do that but I wanna make movies and tell my stories....I dont wanna do IT anymore. I'm also seriously considering looking for a new Job....
I feel GOOD!!! I FEEL RE-ENERGIZED!!!! I STILL FUNCTION!!!!!
