I pulled up to the intersection and came to a stop. It hit me like a ton of bricks. I looked over next to me in the passenger seat and saw him there. The memory felt so real. I remembered sitting there at the very same intersection a few months before. He held my hand and asked me if I wanted to be his girlfriend. The giddy feeling in my stomach returned and I smiled at the thought. A cherished memory that remains locked inside of me. Suddenly the light turned green and I watched as he faded away.
