ProTools, Filthy Bathrooms, and Chatty Bastards

Wiped a few more things off teh ol to do list today. Just spent 14 hours hanging out with my best gal friend, 8 of which were spent playing bass, drums, synth, and screwing around with ProTools. We then attempted to drive to Lockhart for a drink, but apparently they don't have any bars. After ending up in San Marcos, yours truly got pulled over for: going the wrong way down a one-way restricted access road, making an illegal right hand turn, and swerving into the oncoming traffic lane. No, I wasn't drunk...I was perfectly sober. The streets in San Marcos are horrific at best. We missed last call, but I got off with a verbal warning

Headed to 6th to try and hookup with some partygoing acquaintances, but only ended up securing a barnacle named Jeff, who was a placating bastard trying to cheat on his wife while she was out of town. Kept trying to kiss me and that's when I had to lay my smack down, politely of course. When you agree with everything I say and try to get down my pants within 10 minutes of meeting me, it makes me want to hurl, pal.

Dropped my friend off at home in Bastrop and had to travel back into town with the evacuees via 71 West. Stopped at a Chevron to use the ladies room, and jesus, it was like stepping into the apocalypse. There was trash EVERYWHERE. So much so I wanted to offer the clerk my cleaning services Exhaustion and relief hung ambient in the air.

There is a certain someone very dear to me who was unable to evacuate. I'm worrying more than is helpful to the situation, as I cannot stop a hurricane with my super powers...yet ACL fest is still going down, you. I reallllly hope you can make it

I leave first thing Monday for DC. I'm quite excited and simultaneously sad as there are a few awesome people I'm going to miss immensely.
