god, i havent posted in forever. so anyway, I finally started a painting class, its a watercolor class, and I've never been happier that I took it. I really wasnt sure at first because I really sucked, as I havent done much painting in my life. Its been about 5 weeks now, and its going really well. I'm really starting to get the hang of techniques like water control, glazing, washes, wet on dry/wet on wet and understanding color. Not only has the teacher been complimenting my work (which he was doing the opposite of when class first started) but other students as well. I realize now that art is where my happiness is and I dont think I can do anything else with my life because nothing else feels as right as when I'm creating something. These are the latest assignments in which we first do a light pencil sketch of a still life, but the size of these are only 3x4. Some of these are done, and some not so done. Watercolor does take some patience, as well as multitasking (moving on to another frame while the others are drying.
