I am sick, and I am tired...cough...cough...feel pity for me. Anyhow, time to rant about work...we got a new list of rules yesterday, among them:
1. No backpacks or large bags are to be brought into the store by employees.
2. All purses must be made of clear see through plastic.
(So you can see when I have my period..Yay!!!)
3. No outside purchases may be brought into the store.
(I work in the worlds biggest mall, one of the few conviences it offers is the ability to pick up groceries, and other stuff on my breaks...and now I can't?)
4. No cell phones on sales floor.
5. No friends in the store unless they are shopping.
6. All staff purchases must be made at the end of your shift.
7. All staff purchases must be sold by the manager.
(She's off 2-3 days a week..so super convienient..also, what if she isn't working at the end of my shift?)
8. Wallets must be kept with you at all times.
(Most of my staff favor those really tight, see your ass crack/thong type of jeans...where is the wallet going to go?)
9. You must call ops to reenter the store after hours.
10. You must pull out your pockets and lift up your shirt to expose the waistband of your pants at the end of your shift.
(What the hell is that? Is that not some sort of privacy invasion? They are treating us like we are all thieves, yet they refuse to get a security system to catch actual shoplifters...)
11. No showing up to your shift early.
12. No hanging around the store after your shift.
Yeah, so this pretty much sucks....apparently they are revising them today and.....
Tah Dahh!!! We are now allowed to bring a clear backpack...if we have to!!!
Wow, that was fucking amazing!!! So anyone out there hiring? I promise I won't steal...
