as for your thought, i think it depends. at my work, we once had a jar of money on the counter for people to donate to the AIDS walk. some ghetto dude ran off with the jar full of donations. he had to feel at least a slight bit remorseful. but then again, people justify their actions to make it okay in their minds. but there has to be at least a fleeting moment of remorse.
