yes, there were definitely some overly detailed parts in running with scissors... the gay sex didn't bother me, well, i mean, yeah, it was with a pedophile sooo maybe a little bit... but the crazy antics of the psychologist did - like when he scooped his poop out of the toilet?? ew, i have a weak stomach. even reading about that shit (literally) makes me gag reflexes go into motion.
