ok..
so i went to the adult swim site...and they have this text adventure game involving a certain harvey birdman...you remember text adventures don't you?...my step-dad had a commodore (some number)...and we had like two text adventures...one about a vampire..and the other a treasure island...
ok...text adventures...you had to use your imagination in these games...'cause you had to read...there were no pictures...for instance "you walk into a room with a fireplace....it's chilly and there's a table with a note on it"....then you would type..."look note"....it had to be a simple command or the game wouldn't know what you were talking about...you might also try "examine fireplace"....where you would find a wooden stake and some matches...but don't light that stake on fire...you might need it to drive into dracula's chest at a later time...
those games were fucking fun as hell...hard too...'cause you would get stuck...and not know where to go next...you had to have a good memory..you could check your inventory if you needed..but figuring out what to use where was the key...good imaginations were required as well...
anyway...back to harvey birdman..i didn't play all the way through...but i will say that i found a shrink gun and i used it on a bagpipe playing prostitute...and then put her in my pocket...and that's fucking entertainment...
