is it dorky of me to put my favorites in alphabetical order?...'cause that's how i roll...
speaking of dorktitude (yes i realize that's not a real word)
random fact time:
did anyone know that i color code my CDs?...well..i used to anyway...let me explain...i have a ton of music, first of all...and i had two of those huge CD books..that could hold like 400 apiece or something...anyway...one day many years ago i started putting them in the book in colored sections...all the black CDs were up front..then it went to gray, silver, plain, white..and then to like yellow, orange, red...all through the other colors 'til it ended on purple...not exactly in the rainbow color order..but in the order in my head that made sense...and i'll be damned if i couldn't find any CD you asked me faster than someone who put their collection in alphabetical order...(i didn't have the booklets with them either..which brings me to the "undoing"...)
the undoing:
so my CDs were in one place and the lyrics and jewel cases in another...it got to be a pain when i wanted to find exact lyrics for whatever reason...also, taking the CDs in an out of those little pockets put more wear and tear on them than i cared to be a part of...so i bought a shelf thing and put all the CDs in their respective places...

ps -- i don't really know if that counts as OCD..but it seems a bit odd to me...
'cause i also had to unspin...when i was a kid, if i spun myself 17 times to the left i had to "unspin" 17 times in order to feel balanced...or if i walked on the right side of a tree going somewhere, i would have to walk on the other side on the way back...i feared that asymmetrical actions would fuck up my life down the road somehow...AND back to the color thing..i used to take the plastic easter egg halves and line them up from the kitchen to my room all in the same color order...pink, yellow, green, blue, purple...pink, yellow, green, blue, purple..over and over...
and i feel like i'm repeating things i've already talked about in previous entries..god..i'm only 27..why do i feel like i've got the mind of an 87 year old senile man?...just telling the same stories over and over again...my DAD does that...and he's not quite 50 yet...fucking hell!...

i never really had a ton of cd's. the RIAA will probably hunt me down one day. i still kick myself for selling my TMNT II movie soundtrack.
and my memory is horrible too, but i enjoy telling my stories over. my real curse is remembering/learning names.
