in short, it's been a year struggling with jobs, 2019 to now. lost a job last June, more like got screwed over. I hated it but it was good money. It was a struggle finding something to get out. then a few months on unemployment, horrible! then I landed a job in a screen printing warehouse, my ideal job! well 3 months in, that ship sailed. I'm a screen printer and would love nothing more to have income from it. its what I WANT to do. but the position they gave me rather than what I applied for was based on my background of warehouse work. I worked at UPS for 8 years. in all honesty, I am still capable but my days of killing myself for shitty pay and negative environments are over. my body has had enough! after asking to move around and hearing nothing back, I said, fuck it, and quit. talk about struggle! I don't think I qualify for unemployment and I quit as the pandemic started. I was already stressed out and now it's beyond stressed. also home life is crazy but I won't get into that.
anyway, don't know why I didn't think of it before but I decided to look up every print shop in my area and I sent out about 6 emails. only 1 got back to me within 24 hours. great credibility and has been around since 1971! they replied back stating if I'm interested in the printer position to send a resume. so I did!
I can only hope the universe is on my side! printing is my ideal job! its what I want to do and I enjoy it. I want to learn more. I'm trying to be hopeful and be positive. send me some good vibes! I sure as hell need it!
