it took me quite awhile to try to remember how i first got introduced to Uncle Acid. kinda like a bad trip you want to remember but this one i definitely do! haha i think it went as this.. Rise Above Records(England) was the label Electric Wizard was on one at the time. I would check frequently to buy cds and merch from them because it was the only way of gettin your hands on it, especially anything Wizard. later of course they would be distributed in the US.
from then you just had to wait for a teaser to be released via website or youtube. i believe Metal Blade might of been the first video i viewed. and the song was "I'll Cut You Down" from their album that made their mark, "Bloodlust". (this would technically be their 2nd album because their first is simply called "Vol. 1". and man, i was blown away, like "what the fuck was that??" haha i've been hooked ever since.
as i try to describe them:
"60s psych rock, Ozzy/Sabbath, doom metal and Charles Manson obsessed" lol
September 24th, 2014 they made their first headlining US tour. other than that they only trip they had to the US was Maryland Deathfest 2014. which i so wish i was there!
here's my Uncle Acid experience.. (and i hope im capable of getting some video in here) OK i decided to just upload them on my youtube channel for easier sharing.
the trip has forever been stained in my mind. i will enjoy these flash backs!
