this past Tuesday i saw Sleep with Windhand as the opener. sold out show. fuckin hell, i am surprised i didn't go deaf! Windhand sounded so much heavier live! and i was second to behind the rail, i felt the fuzz just punishing through the monitors.
then of course Sleep had to just had to trip you out and then destroy! and they delivered! Matt Pike was basically right in front of me. even though i've never seen them in their prime, i was glad to see them play together again, Al Cisneros, Matt Pike, they are missing the original drummer, Chris Hakius. the fill in Joe Roeder is from Neurosis. they played for about 2 hours, it was great!
