well i feel like i procrastinated a blog long enough and i hate procrastinating! first, Happy Friday to you all! so glad the weekend is finally here! nothing planned as usual but i plan on going to the art store and investing in a new silk screen.
im looking for something like this. i had a basic one but i lent out the bottom table part to a friend so he could do some printing and ive never gotten it back and its been years. this one has a fabric screen as well, which i am really interested in. ive mainly printed with block/linoleum prints. its funny how i can sit there for hours and carve somethin out when i no patience with anything else! haha i dont know, its enjoyable to me, the end result is something ive created in ink and usable. it clears my head.
so June here in Philly was pretty miserable. for the first month of summer ive never seen so much rain in my life! i must of got stuck in it a million times. on my bike doin errands or going to/coming from the gym and of course rain makes work worse! and i think i lost all the umbrellas in the house cause i am forgetful! hehe the only thing really worthy of June is, i saw Kylesa/Blood Ceremony/White Hills/Lazer Wulf. awesome show that was a new venue ive never been to and i like it. not huge but it was loud as hell. a bar at the same level which is awesome.
hm.. well now that its July im trying to think what have i been doing..
i started learning the bass i have that i havent touched in a real long time. a friend of mine plays and is giving some lessons. that got put to a halt because i popped a string but not just that, the tuning peg itself warped.
if you notice the peg on the left is not in line with the other. i bought new pegs but i know its not easy to replace and i dont want to break anything. so im hoping my friend will help with that also this weekend.
i've been tryin to keep busy and drawing
something that i brewed up and put it to paper. in this, it is transferred onto linoleum and ive started carving it today actually. really hopin it comes out the way i thought it. it is alot to carve but i dont mind!
other than that... still on the job hunt.
Mayhem Fest is next friday! lookin forward to that.
and also.. The Conjuring comes out July 19th, the day of Mayhem. i think it looks fuckin awesome and i really wanna see it.
who wants to be my date!?! haha
