so i have been slackin and never blogged about my DOWN vip experience or last week at all since i was off. well it felt great to not have to be in that shit hole of a job i have. well needed. broke and a lot of drinking, little too much ha. Anyway! wednesday Down was in town and i had treated myself to a Vip ticket. i had to be there by 4:15, the representative was running late himself so it was kinda confusing on what to do. so he makes it loud and clear about all the rules. it was quite strict to be honest. and i understand that. then they led us into the venue, the normal pat downs and shit. eveyone is in a single file going towards the stage. it was a little bit of a wait and then they bring the guys out. it was awesome! so one by one, they take your personal item and they all sign it. Pepper was the first in line and i get nervous at these kinda things. so im joking with Pepper "glad to meets you guys finally, im shittin myself" lol Pepper: "why you shittin yourself man?" and Kirk heard it too so he said somethin like "you got diarhea or you need a diaper" lol we were all crackin up, they undertood where i was comin from. so you kinda go down the shake hands and bullshit a little. so i finally get to Phil. a pound and hand shake. then randomly he grabs me on the shoulders, spun me around, flips my hair out of the way to check out what bands i have on my vest. all i hear is "Slayyerr!" then he shows me his arm, he said he just got a Slayer tat and it was bandaged. Phil gave my vest the approval, sweeet. then you get a picture with the whole band, it was cool. though i wasnt sure were to look so im curious what it looks like lol. its supposed to get posted on their website. after that you go back to the bleachers and wait some more for everyone to get their experience.the souncheck was next. the roadies set everything up and get everything in tune. then Down comes out and make sure everything sounds the way they want it. it was cool, you saw the whole set up. they played 2 quick songs and that was it. they let us stay in for awhile cause it was raning then we had to go back outside so they could get the venue ready. being VIP i didnt have to wait in line to get back in. and from there i went to the bar, sat bymyself. this chick was hanging around where i was, pretty and decided to sit next to me. she seemed alone so i actually battled myself to start a conversation. oh the nervousness! ha but she was cool as shit. she was from Brazil and spoke english but she didnt understand certain english terms, not sure how to put it. so i made a friend for the night, no number tho. she disappeared at a certain time, all she talked about was Phil haha. anyway, all the bands killed! Warbeast, Haarp, and of course Pentagram. Bobby Liebling really got old but he was doin movies that you dont see Ozzy doin haha. lastly, Down fucking killed it! Phil sounded great and back on top on his screaming. i was hoping to hear more of the new EP but im not complaining. it was a great experience. i dont have many pictures because they were strict on when and when not to.

then on friday i had tickets to see Morbid Angel, Dark Funeral and Grave. it was dead in this place which i thought was weird. usually theres a good crowd for death metal shows. it was the first time i got to see Grave, it was killer. was more excited to see Dark Funeral, even with the new singer. sounded pretty good, i enjoyed it. yea.. nothing too exciting at this show. anything else i spent with my friends drinkin. the week went fast and now im back to work, ugghhhh...
