balls, i've managed to survive another year. a year ago, i was going to work about this time, and watching my boss at the time thoroughly wallop a drunk indian man who was trying to get into her truck. she may have been a crazy, flat-chested mulleted uberdyke, but i remember i felt safe working the graveyard shift with her after that.
anyway. today.
in celebration of the new year, i have: cleaned my room; done all matt's vacation laundry; eaten green beans at hometown buffet; admired a lump of dog crap with crayons in it; hollered at boys down the road for setting off firecrackers "you fuckers it's two hours to midnight and they're illegal god damn it" and then went to light some with them, my dog trailing behind; pissed off, fucked around, and been a putz, all in one. midnight will be spent in my room, cutting photos out of magazines. joy.
you'd be amazed how easily you can memorise the cat in the hat. easier than green eggs and ham at any rate.
