So, this is another update I guess...

I'm gonna do some indoor painting work for my best friend's family's house, her dad offered to pay me if I took the leftover paint and besides things like touch-ups and whatnot but do designs and shit to liven things up. He wants it very....oregon-esque, with leaves and sky and shit. Lots of green, which is my favorite color so I'm sure I wont have any problem enjoying my work! He wants me to set the price though...he said "put a value on your time, not your work". He's gonna get the paints and such soon and either this weekend or sometime next week I'll start. If anyone has any suggestions of how much I should charge? minimum wage? I will feel guilty no matter what I charge, considering they're broke. But Jesse's dad is just having some strange urge to pay everyone money for small tasks we would all do for free...Like he payed his own daughter for just organizing his desk? He's feeling generous I guess.

Been getting lots of ideas for the wedding, we're thinking of talking to some priests to see if theres a way to get "married" in the "eyes of god" you could say, (not that I'm extremely religious) and just mainly, not in the eyes of the government....So thats on our list of "things to do". Because we still want our wedding to mean something, to honor something real....we just financially cant have our incomes combined and docked a couple hundred right now, and thats what they'll do with our disability. So until we have different source of income, different stage of life, we cant get our names changed and mark as "married" on any paperwork. Not "legally" married. WHICH of course has its disadvantages, considering me and Gabe both have serious health problems, especially Gabe, and if one of us is at our death beds within the next ten years (i know that sounds like a stretch but not with us, sadly) then theres going to be one of those "you arnt family you cant be in the room" issues. But theres the whole power of attorney thing....agh so much to worry about. WE just want to live happily ever after...can we do that please? frown
I'm mostly kidding...with the happily ever after shit. It doesnt work that way. But we do just want to be happy and be together. Thats all.

Anyway, just another week before we get our checks again and hopefully stimulus checks also so we can do some things that we've been really meaning to do! Like, get enough food to last us through the month!!

But yeah...lots of pl anning, thinking,worrying....but also plenty of happy and relaxing. The SUN is finally coming out and warm weather is better medication than anything the docs can give me. Well, some of the time smile

I also have new pain meds, which is an acheivement. I dont know if I updated on this already or not? But I finally got the idiot doctors to go BACK to what the pain management agreement already WAS and give me something for the everyday pain, not just twenty stinkin vicodin for the 'breakthrough' pain. They found something new to give me, so I'm trying Oxycontin, an extended release narcotic. Its working okay, and they gave me enough to take twice a day but as much as I can handle it I'm skipping my nighttime dose so I can have some leftover for emergencies if I cant ever pay for it....considering I have to pay 97$ every month for it.
SO we will see. But for pain, it works. Like every med, its no miracle drug, but its an improvement, and I can actually get shit done around the house now, and leave the house more often. All I want is to have my pain controlled so I can do all the normal shit other people do. Be normal. NORMAL.

Anyway smile

I hope everyones enjoying the warm weather thats been peaking out from behind the winter clouds....
