i had a weird dream about james last week which prompted me to send him an email that ended all further communication. i usually have weird dreams when something is bothering me...a lot of times my dreams seem like visions of the future so I take them seriously.

The nice thing about freelance work is that you don't have to have any professional experience to do it. By the time I'd finished highschool I'd already had a few freelance jobs under my belt. Is it websites you want to do? That's what I started with. The easiest way to get started would be to start asking people you know if they need that kind of work done. If not, try some local small businesses. Once you've got a portfolio built up you can start getting bigger more high-profile jobs.

Ok, so my goals for 2006 are:
1. finish my master's degree
2. stick to an exercise program so that I can obtain my desired weight
3. go to bed at 10:30pm so I don't miss good sub positions in the morning
4. go on interviews and hopefully land a full-time teaching position for next September
5. learn how to "let" go of the past so that my present and future are not plagued by "what-ifs".
Have a couple of drinks tonight and think of me

Only one of them I remember fondly... the other I just feel gross about.
The moral of the story is that I tear people apart and get under their skin. I just can't be superficial. I read into things too much -- so unless there is a buried meaning in that one nighter, I can't walk away satisfied.
I guess there are a lot of people who avoid that sort of thing. It's probably just insecurities and all that.
