just been talkin to me mate who i work with, iv been skivin off for over w week now cuz to be honest i hate the place, and the news today was that macca on e of the blokes i get on with who works over on the bako side, got crushed behind one of the fuckin pieces of shit machines we work our asses off to build, and it killed him.
now im not claimin that he was a close friend or anything, but fuck it shook me up, ppl get injured quite a lot at work, few months ago three blokes got crushed pelvises over three days, a guy got killed at another site few months before that, but it doesnt register with you untill it gets a little closer to home........
i hated the place before, but fuck am i goin back there now. an from what i got told, it wasnt even that much of a disruption to the company, oh im sure they will send condolences and pay out any policies, but that aint gonna make it up, an im sure it will be investigated and they will point the finger at human error, no change there.
but tomorrow morning, work will go on as normal right on the spot were he was killed, as if it never happened.
could be worse i suppose, the last guy that died was killed by a tank over pressurising and exploding..... when they got back to work the next day to carro on as normal, one thing was still present, so while guys were tryin to get back to work, some body had to help remove the rest of the poor guys remains from the ceiling and top of the wall. it truelly is a sick sad world.
r.i.p. macca, god speed, i certainly wont forget you in a hurry.
