Dwight Frye was an actor who played the creepy guy in the old black and white horror movies, his most famous role was the spider eating Renfield in Dracula with Bella Lugosi. Alice dedicated this song to him because he believed Frye was the scary guy in the movies mainly because he played unhinged characters (Vampires are not real, Frankenstiens Monster is not real but insanity is). He changed the spelling for legal reasons
