This will be short as I need to get ready to take my mom to breakfast and back to the hospital to visit my dad.

My dad is doing extremely well. He was moved out of his ICU room into a regular hospital room last night, though not until after we left the hospital for the day.

His doctors think he will be able to...

@thekarmaguy, I'm a lucky dude. My bosses allowed me to work remotely for pretty much as long as I'm needed to be with my parents, helping my mom with my dad's after care and other things around the house. I only have about 4 days of vacation available and can't afford an unpaid leave of absence. So while I'm badly underpaid, things like this make up for the below market salary. And since I don't have to use my vacation days, I can use them on the return trip, take my time and stop off at interesting places to shoot some photos!
thekarmaguy:
@deadguitarist I hear ya with the work thing. I can't take time off work either. The last time I took any vacation time was 2010 and I'm currently on day 10 of 12 in a row. It's good that you were given the opportunity to work remotely. My boss although he kinda breaks the rules a lot when it comes to Canadian Labour laws, takes care of me too. I'm respected because I've been there 16 years and I work my you know what's off and any time he needs me to do something I do it without question or hesitation. It's good that you are helping out. A lot of families today abandon each other when the shit gets real. Good on you man!

My past #WCWs have been @nebula (I am crushing hard on her this week because of her blog yesterday... seriously, go read it, it's awesome, angry and very lovely all at the same time and she had a new photo set released to MR a few days ago - but I've picked her in the past). I've also crushed @zelena, who is a beautiful latina...

I'm sorry to hear that! I hope everything is ok and i hope you get to enjoy yourself some :)
deadguitarist:
@starphire, thank you. I appreciate the sentiments. He's doing very well so far, but he has much recovery to go. A skin graft in about 10 days, then 6 weeks of intensive radiation therapy beginning in late August. He's a tough ol' dog, so I expect him to get through fine.

I know many models use various other avenues, such as Etsy, Patreon, etc., to raise money for photoshoots, travel, costumes, and other things and advertise them on SG. So I hope that it's ok that I advertise my GoFundMe Campaign I set up to raise money for a new camera, lenses and other photographic equipment. To our fantastic SG Staff, if it's not ok, please...

I am saddened and angered by the mass shooting in Orlando this past weekend. What I am about to write will probably upset and anger some people, but bear with me.
I will not offer prayers... Prayers and sentiments are small consolation to those who lost loved ones; to those who were injured. They fix nothing. They make us feel better, but they don't really...

Well, my friends, here's an update to my original An Unexpected Journey blog post.

I rolled into Memphis, TN about 10:00 PM CDT. Although the time and distance for Sunday's portion of the trip were less than Saturday's, it sure felt longer. The "max" speed limit in Oklahoma and Arkansas is 70 MPH as opposed to 75 MPH in Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas....

I wavered back and forth about writing this post and sharing it on SG. Not because I thought there would be backlash or lack of support. On the contrary, I've found SG to be an extremely supportive and positive online social community. One that I am glad I joined and got involved in by writing blog posts, commenting on the ladies' photosets, commenting on other...

This is an interesting topic @lyxzen, @rambo & @missy. Thanks!

I've had quite a few best friends during my life. There's Joe and Robbie, who were my best friends in elementary school. Robbie lived next door and Joe lived down the street. Mark was my next door neighbor on the other side. I can't remember when he moved in, but I know we were best...
