This afternoon, Geoff (keyboards and drum machine), Cameron (guitar and vocals) and I (guitar and vocals) got together for our third jam session (Geoff missed the second one). About half way through the 3 hour jam session, two people walked in (our rehearsal space is the office where we work). It was Mark (our bass player) and his granddaughter (could have been his daughter, though). Mark came to pick up some stuff from his desk.
Mark has been away from work for the past month or so. All we knew was that he was in the hospital. After it was apparent that he had been in the hospital for quite a while, I suspected he had a stroke. Mark confirmed it today. But he's doing quite well. He said he has gaps in his memory, a little trouble with speech (not much) and is using a cane to walk (just in case). But overall he is doing very well. He is targeting January for his return to work.
I'm very happy he's doing so well.
Stay Tuned...
