I suddenly had an overwhelming need to give a huge shout out to two photographers who recently have helped me immensely on my photographic journey:

@andrealaz AND @zen

Everything you’ve shared with me resulted in a successful photoshoot last night with @damseldoll. We got so much good stuff that it’s going to be hard to cull each set down to no more than 60 photos....

Greetings faithful followers, loyal friends and random stumble uponers! I am so excited!

Las Vegas was a bit drizzly yesterday. Because it happens so infrequently, I don't mind. But it was a productive weekend on many fronts.

From the boring stuff, I made a long needed trip to Goodwill to donate many 13 gallon bags of clothes and shoes. Still have a few more. While...

@amirarayne, the suite was as awesome as the photos (the photos came from the Airbnb listing). If you ever visit Las Vegas, I’ll photograph you in a place like this. Deal?
amirarayne:
Deal!

I totally forgot to blog about this, but one of my photos from my very first model photoshoot was accepted for publication and published. It was published in GEINK Magazine Issue 7. It's an online magazine. No, I didn't get paid for it. My model submitted it. I think it came out in January, maybe late December. Here's the photo...

Stay Tuned...

This is my favorite photo from the shoot so far (still processing photos... it’s a slow go since I have a day job, plus shoots, setting up selection galleries, communicating with clients, and processing photos). I really like how this photo turned out after processing.

My wife says she’s got an Angelina Jolie vibe going on in this photo. What do you think 🤔?

Some useless things about me stolen from @zen...

1. What was the last thing you put in your mouth? Diet Dr. Pepper

2. Where was your profile picture taken? The Beehives, Valley of Fire State Park

3. Worst physical pain you’ve had? Hmmm, not really sure... left knee surgery (torn cartilage) or grade 2 strain of the medial collateral ligament of left knee (basically my...

What was your favorite thing about Paris?
deadguitarist:
@zen, we spent our 1st wedding anniversary in Paris. We were there on an USAF MWR (recreational department... they had all kinds of activities and tours). It was like 3 or 4 days, so we just saw the highlights of Paris, plus Versailles. But there is one thing that stands out and it's not anything anyone would guess or expect. We wanted to get some extra cash from an ATM. There was only one bank that was compatible with ours. So after a quick look in Le Louvre, we left and got lunch at a sidewalk cafe. You sometimes hear stories about how French people don't really like Americans... aka the Ugly American. Anyway, after we ate, I went to ask out waiter, "Ou est le Banque d'Agricole?" My French is very rusty from high school and college, though I had learned that the French want you to try and speak the language. I don't think they care so much about getting it right, just that you try. Anyway, I hadn't even finished asking the question when our waiter said "What do you want?" in English. He didn't ask with any attitude; at least I don't remember any attitude. I responded in English and he gave me directions. So, my one interaction with a French person that didn't involve ordering food, was positive and probably my favorite thing. That and authentic escargot. YUM! But I really loved the whole trip... Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, cruise on the Seine, La Basilique du Sacre Coeur, Painter's Square. the food, everything. Other than the waiter being super nice and accommodating, the other surprise was how small of a painting the Mona Lisa actually is. Unfortunately, we didn't have a camera.

Want to see @fishball demonstrate posing? Go watch professional fashion photographer, Anita Sadowska’s posing tutorial. For all of us photographers, there’s some good info here too.

On 07 February 2018 I shot with KG. Actually it was 08 February 2018 by the time she arrived, we finished setting up the set, and she changed into her first outfit and did her makeup and hair. Since it was a few days before her birthday, she wanted to do a birthday themed shoot. Here are a couple of samples from the shots I've...

@amirarayne, she is not, at least I don't think so. She's never mentioned it, and I've never asked. I've yet to shoot with an SG or SGH, though I keep trying and hoping it'll work out someday. That said, I have shot with a girl who has a profile page here, but never did anything with it. I doubt her membership is current. I haven't asked her if she wants to shoot for the site, because I am almost positive she won't do it unless she's paid for the shoot and her rates are not in line with those of other models I've worked or talked with. If I want to pay a model, I can find plenty who are much more affordable.

these look great, I can hardly wait to see more
