Just had a call from my brother. My Grandpa is almost ready to leave this world. Apparently they can only tell he is still there because he is still breathing. He's 93. My brother gets married next month. I was hoping to take pa to the wedding. My step dad died before seeing my oldest nephew turn 2 and before the youngest was born, so now it looks like there will be 2 empty seats at the wedding. I knew this day would come, as pa has been saying it for 15 years now, but now that it's here it is terrifingly sad. I don't see him much since i live so far away, but i always enjoyed seeing him at family get togethers and visits to him. I hope he stays asleep and drifts off without pain.
