Okay, time to put the journal to use. It may never, ever be read by anyone but me...then again, it may be the beginning of the dedication towards writing I've been putting off. Hey, Missy said Neato on my pathetic first entry, so who knows? maybe I can make y'all laugh.

I just caught the end of the MTV Movie Awards. I have such a sick fascination with celebrity. It's a jealousy thing, I swear. The fact that Jack Black is famous and not me...that's just heartbreaking. So now, if I'm ever famous for anything, it can't be for being weirdly animated and half-crazed. Oh well. Carry the torch, fellow wildman Jack Black. Someday we'll compare notes and swap cheese metal memories.

If I were famous, I wouldn't have to look for a new job. Talk about a bummer. I'm young, pretty talented, a damn quick learner...you'd think SOMEONE would want me! I tell myself it's because these people can see I'm not a corporate lackey, and that's a little reassuring, but here in Austin, I can't even get a job doing something I LIKE, working at a comic shop or something like that. I dunno. I guess I just have to step up the search, because I sure as hell ain't famous yet.
