I just spent the evening with hemaniscool discussing how very often our blogs are written following a night out drinking. Coincidentally, tonight is no different, although to be honest, the drinking has been scaled back in comparison to our usual exploits.
I stand on the edge of a weekend fraught with dangerous potential...I'm off to London tomorrow for my cousin's 21st 'decadence and debauchery party', going as Slash...(hopefully, photo's to follow!) I then go further East to Kent, for my uni friend Ben's stag party, and a game of pub golf...(hopefully, photos will not follow!!). So a weekend of potential; hopefully the good kind. I'm exhausted after a frantic week and hopeful that this weekend will deliver the right kind of entertainment for all involved - I really need a couple of days to get away from it all.
So other news, and thank you to so many SG members (you know who you are) for your kind messages re: my recent job opportunity. In response, the great news is that I've reached a verbal agreement to work for Steve, for a fairly decent sum of money, as the manager of his new restaurant and bar. Very exciting stuff! I find myself feeling the above, but also a bit scared. But adrenaline is good, always. I can't wait to get in there and start filling the place up. Start on the 4th May. If any SG members fancy a drink or a bite and are in the Wells, Somerset area, come find me at Cafe Piano from then.
So work *touch wood* is good. How's everything else? Apart from being concerned about my little sister and a coupla family issues, not so bad. I'm finding SG a wonderful distraction/accompaniment to life: a place to share and relax, to escape and become involved. In short, I like it a lot, and the people here even more; everyone is so welcoming and open.
I'm working myself up to considering a set for SB even, but lacking any tattoos or piercings right now I'm not sure how well that would go down!!! Answers on a postcard...
Anyway, speak to you all soon I hope, wish me luck over the weekend, and if anyone finds a Slash lookalike in the gutter near Goodge street Station early on Saturday morning, do say hello!
