Just in from work - we had the Lord Lieutenant of Somerset's Lunch today, which was highly entertaining if only for the titles some of these people had

Lady Matheson of Matheson (I kid you not)
The Right Honourable Canon face.
Lieutenant Colonel...
They were all 60+ and carried that air of military/class superiority about them that I've grown up with (in the family) and respect, but also recognise that I would never, ever like to be like that. They are the definition of the 'looking down your nose at someone' phrase.
Anyway. I look forward to the football - praying I'm not jinxing it by mentioning it here And a curry later.
