Fixed !!!!! The Miracle of Medicine !!!!



So...life is brilliant !!!! I broke this just 6 days ago....a mucho bad break mind you - compound Fx of the forearm both the radius and ulna...and they already took off my cast today !!!! This doc here in Chicago is a fk'n miracle worker...he is one of the best in the field. I'm starting PT on Friday and I'm off to the races. I'll be back on a bike in no time !!! Thanks for all the well wishes kids...it really did mean a lot....



I'm heading out to do 2 month old laundry....see y'all on the flipside...

...addendum :

yeah...so the doc said i have the EXACT bone placement as before the accident. according to him when the bone heals (8 weeks) i will have full strength and functionality...like it never happened. Simply amazing. I've been keeping upbeat despite the worst pain in my life...but this by far exceeded my expectations for recovery. Science has achieved some amazing things !!! He told me this hardware is the newest offerings from the blessed Swiss developers who are light years ahead on this kind of prosthesis. Locking screws...tapered corners...Im in metallic nirvana.

hey anyway...health appreciation moment everyone...and Im not used to such shameless self indulgence...i don't talk about myself or my life much in my journal...id rather contemplate philosophy or share visual stimulus. But this i thought was kina interesting and Im still jetting off the euphoria of the words "complete recovery" and the fact that Im out of a cast and in a removable plastic splint only 6 days after my bone did the peek-a-boo outta my forearm....

hope everyone else's week is moving along nicely and no trouble is afoot...
