...a thought returned to me the other day when i was watching Donnie Darko for the 3rd or 4th time (i always seem have another friend who's never seen it...) Just about how when you normally ask people how they got to this moment in their lives, they usually spout off about how, for instance, they woke up this morning...took the bus to work...came home...etc. People always feel they are being propelled into the future by the past.

i have come to believe we are, in fact, being pulled into the future by attractors, things that gravitate us to events, people, places, etc., things, events and interactions that reside in the future. So, If i ask a person who is about to make an omelette how she got here...she might say "I drove to the store...shopped for a dozen eggs...drove back...and here I am about to cook..." While i'd say, " It was the desire to make an omelette that pulled you here to this point in space-time...a future event that has not yet occurred, but compels you into the future in this particular direction..."

I was reminded of this philosophy by the scene in Donnie Darko where everyone had the watery projections coming out of their chest. Oh fanciful thought and idle chatter....

In this case, it was the desire to change my journal entry 'cause i was sick puke of staring at the old one... whatever
