Its been a crazy year. 2006 was crazy. That is the only way I can describe it. Pivotal, joyous, heartbreaking, confusing, lost, painful, and amazing. I finished my BA, moved to Ontario, lost my relationship, started my MA, started a part time job, re-met a new/old love, got engaged to said love, lost my part time job, and have continued to do well in my MA program.
Xmas was wonderful, weird, and painful all at once. Living with Skeptigal in Ottawa for the three weeks was an excellent portent for how well we will live together in the future Not being home for Xmas was painful but not as painful as it has been in the past... missing Jill was an oddity I wasn't quite ready for, and it caused me more than a little mental anguish, but at the same time, I am so happy and content in my current life, it was hard to stay upset. I miss Pat and LA at home a great deal, and I really want to wander into Troublebound and just shoot the shit and get some new ink... but that will have to wait another year before it can happen.
Hanging with my brother my sister in law and my nephew with Skepti was wonderful, and I felt a real connection with the city of Ottawa, which also bodes well for future plans. Now all I have to figure out is what I am going to do in September.... hopefully a job will be forthcoming... that and I have to finish the MA of course...
