So, when I got home from Austin, my roommate, who is a doctor doing his residency tooke one look at me and said I was massively dehydrated (despite drinking like 3 litres of water that day). He put an IV in me and drained like 4 bangs of fluid. It still wasn't enough apparently but we ran out of bags. Anyway, I felt better afterwards even though I feel like I've still been in a haze ever since. I guess I killed more brain cells than I could afford to at the time.

Anyway, my "special ladt friend" came down the next weekend and I think that whole scene is going pretty well. She really liked the SXSW t-shirt I gave her. To my credit, I think I'm pretty good at getting girls gifts. I don't know why/how.

This past weekend I went to NY since it was my dad's b-day. He gets so much weirder as he gets older and always talks to me about his assets or his will or his long-term care policy. It's pretty fucking morbid and depressing. I guess he's really lonely by himself and that's what he thinks about.

Finally, my grandfather got diagnosed with lung cancer and probably will not make it to see June of this year. Although I think he's a miserable old prick who intentionally makes everyone's life as difficult as possible, I'm still pretty bummed. He taught me how to paint when I was a kid.
