I've worked a multitude of 12 hour days in the past 3 weeks, which sucks. I've rationalized by telling myself that I'm trying to "get ahead" before the CMJ Music Conference next week when I go to NYC and will inevitably get REALLY behind. However, the reality is that I'm working so hard just to keep my head above water and that I'd be drowning regardless of whether or not I was going away next week, which sucks too.

That said, conversely, the good is, I'll be in NYC all next week from the 15th (my b-day) until the 21st. Since I'll have a conference bage, there should be plenty of free, awesome shows and lots of free booze. Also, I get reimbursed for my meals so it will wind up being cheaper than if I was here in Boston living my regular life and I'll be having a shit ton more fun. If anyone's got good shows on their radar, let me know.

Also, I'm on the list for both !!! and Architecture in Helsinki this weekend. So I guess point of the story is, I need to think about work from the context that, sure, I work long ass days a lot but I get some sweet shit in return.

Finally, on a somewhat work-related note, I'm contemplating going to the Exotc Erotic ball in San Francisco. I can get passes, etc through work but I'd have to pay my own plane ticket. I'm definitely thinking about it. Seems like nothin I've ever experiencesd before. Plus, I'm quoted in the press release so I feel like I'm sort of obligated, no?
