Long time, no see!!

Hi everyone!! It's been too long!

My SG account expires in one week! :( I'm going to try and convince myself to renew my subscription over the next few days and get back into the world of SG again! I guess I got lost & disinterested trying to use the new site but I've just discovered how to tidy up 'My Feed' and now things are looking much better!

Anyway...how is life treating everyone?

I met the amazing Chris Hadfield on Monday!! I'm still amazed he came to my home town! Not only did I get a signed copy of his book but he also signed a photo I took of the International Space Station back in February last year. He was on board the ISS at the time which makes it extra special! Really glad I got to meet such an inspirational person!

I hope everyone is doing good! I'd love to stick around a bit longer so hopefully I find my love for this site again over the next few days!

Hi @raindogsteve Sorry for the late reply man! Cheers! I can imagine your disappointment but it's a small world and I hope you get another opportunity to meet him. He was a gentleman and made an effort with each individual he met. I still haven't had a chance to read his book yet but I'm sure it's great!

No problem man. He does sound like a real gentleman so I hope I will get to meet him in the future. I am always amazed by the generosity of these guys when we are lucky enough to cross paths with them. I have met quite a few of the Apollo era astronauts and without exception each has been a truly memorable and humbling experience. It may be a little too far for you, but have you heard of the space lectures (www.space-lectures.com) in Yorkshire? They are fantastic if you ever get chance to make the trip. The next one is Ken Mattingly, from Apollo 16, in April. I'm so excited about this one already!
