The good news is that we dodged the fire in Tahoe. No one was hurt. All is good.
The bad news is that we are now surrounded by other fires on all sides - North in Nevada - South in California - East in Utah

On a lighter note - The Tour has begun and once again, if for only three weeks, cycling has returned to the mainstream. My pre-race pick was Vinokourev - but now, 3 days in, I'd like to change my prediction to Kloden.

I just finished "Schwinn" certification. they claim spinning is now obsolete. interesting.
